Summer Champions 2011 Prince of Wales A
Benks C 7 Prince of Wales A 13
Prince of Wales A secured the Summer title for 2011 beating Benks C over the two legs of the final. They led after the first leg 7-5, which as the score suggests was a close encounter which saw some great clearances and also drama throughout with the Benks Cs' top players unusually misfiring. The run of the balls was in balance with Princes' Andy Slack the unluckiest of them all after an 8 ball in his first frame and then executing a flawless clearance in his second, only to pot the black and go in off in the middle with the cue ball.
In the second leg Benks C at home made a spirited comeback taking the first 2 frames to make it all square 7 frames each. However they failed to keep up the pressure on the Prince in frames 3 and 4 where golden opportunities were missed which rejuvenate the spirit of the away side who took their chances when they came, to accelerated to the critical 13 frame target without so much as a flinch.
